Sonja Rose is a dynamic Senior Analyst specializing in Business Continuity at Comcast, with over seven years of experience maximizing risk mitigation and operational efficiency. A native of Philadelphia, Sonja is recognized for her exceptional problem-solving skills and her ability to manage complex challenges with precision and strategic insight.
In addition to her professional role, Sonja is a dedicated advocate for individuals with disabilities, particularly those with neurodivergent and invisible disabilities. Her commitment to promoting inclusivity has led her to champion initiatives that create supportive environments within both corporate and community settings.
Sonja is a proud alumna of DiverseForce on Boards, a prestigious program that prepares leaders for nonprofit board service, and currently serves as a board member of NAMIC Philadelphia, where she helps advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the communications industry. Her dedication to professional growth is further demonstrated by her active involvement in organizations such as WICT and The Cares Autism Foundation.
Holding an Associate’s Degree from Johnson and Wales University, Sonja’s leadership extends to her tenure as co-lead for the “My Abilities” program, where she played a pivotal role in fostering understanding and empowerment for individuals with disabilities.

Curtis Moore, Vice President
I am a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in leading and delivering complex programs from initiation to successful completion. My expertise lies in developing and executing systematic plans, driving multidisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring projects adhere to timelines and budgets. I possess exceptional communication and leadership abilities, fostering a cohesive team environment to achieve and surpass organizational objectives.
Throughout my tenure at Comcast's Business Division in Horsham and Philadelphia, I held the position of Manager, Program Management, and Customer Operations. In this role, I played a pivotal role in ensuring successful user acceptance testing (UAT) and live trials by leading process analysis and deployment support. My accomplishments in this role include devising support strategies and user-friendly aid materials, resulting in the triumphant rollout of innovative product initiatives.
Prior to my managerial role, I served as a Senior Analyst in Business Process Effectiveness. In this capacity, I spearheaded the analysis and design of existing and new business processes, reducing time to market and boosting functional efficiency. I defined success metrics for new systems/processes and implemented a robust tracking plan, ensuring the realization of project objectives. My commitment to nurturing a collaborative learning environment and contributing to the team's overall proficiency was evident throughout my career.
In addition to my experience at Comcast, I have a diverse background, having served as Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager, and A+ Repair Technician at CompUSA in Mount Laurel, NJ.
Rebecca Yep, Secretary
Rebecca Yep is a Principal Technical Program Manager in the Technology & Product organization at Comcast. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Rebecca has been able to apply her technical skillset towards her passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She considers her work on the Internet Essentials / Affordable Connectivity Program one of the hallmarks of her career.
Prior to her tenure in the telecommunications industry, Rebecca worked for eight years in aerospace engineering. It was during this time that Rebecca’s dedication for DE&I first blossomed, which has led to the persistence of her leadership engagement in employee resource groups, at schools and universities, and in local nonprofits to through to the present day.
Outside of work, Rebecca continues her advocacy in various organizations within her community; most recently, she spoke to officials at Philadelphia’s City Hall in opposition to the proposed new NBA arena that would have disenfranchised the AAPI community in nearby Chinatown, and participated in a voting registration campaign for Philadelphia’s upcoming municipal primaries.
Rebecca was once an avid international traveler, but in her current stage of life now prefers to remain stateside with her partner, their young toddler, and their cat. Together, they reside in South Philadelphia where they enjoy all the local sights and tastes that the city has to offer.
Kevin Akumiah, Treasurer
Kevin Akumiah is a finance professional currently working as a Manager of Product Finance at Comcast, where he supports Xfinity products within the Xfinity Growth, Innovation & Experience organization. In this role, Kevin collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to drive financial planning and analysis, contributing to the strategic growth and profitability of Comcast’s product offerings. His expertise lies in leveraging financial insights to inform business decisions and foster innovation.
Kevin holds a BBA degree from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where he developed a solid foundation in business and finance. His educational background, combined with his professional experience, equips him with the skills necessary to navigate complex financial landscapes and drive organizational success.
Kevin is currently based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he enjoys exploring all the city has to offer and is an avid member of the Philadelphia ball hockey community.
Dwayne Edghill, Advisor (Previous President)
Dwayne M. Edghill is a Manager in the Xfinity Consumer Services Program Delivery team focused on Strategy & Planning. In his 16-year career within the telecommunications industry, Dwayne has been responsible for cross channel implementation of large-scale projects for both internal Xfinity consumer programs as well as for external Fortune 500 companies that have aligned strategically with Comcast Business for their managed services needs. He is a passionate advocate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the Communications Industry.
Dwayne is active in the Philadelphia community where he serves as the President of NAMIC Philadelphia (National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications). He is also an active member of NeXT - Urban League of Philadelphia Young Professionals Group, the Young Professional Council (YPC) for the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, the Young Caribbean Professional Network (YCPN) and United Caribbean Association of Philadelphia (UCAP). Dwayne is dedicated to developing the next generation of diverse leaders in all of his efforts.
Dwayne has previously served as the Lead for the Black Employee Network (BEN) at Comcast HQ as well as the External Focus Committee Lead for BEN.
Dwayne graduated from Peirce College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and from Community College of Philadelphia with an Associate of Science in Management Information Systems. He currently resides in Philadelphia with his son.
Fai Shaheed, Chief of Staff
Fai Shaheed is a Manager of New Program & Product Introduction within the Xfinity Consumer Services organization at Comcast. Fai has been with Comcast for eleven years and during that time she has held various roles, Accounts Payable, where she helped launch the initial electronic invoice portal (XIGN). Following that, Fai joined the National Revenue Share Association (NRSA) team where she acted as the primary contact between the regions and developer, driving critical enhancements to the NRSA Portal for the field. Most recently, Fai was working for the Comcast Global Audit team, where she was responsible for auditing various areas of the business to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
As a Manager on the New Program & Product Introduction team, Fai is responsible for helping to diversify new program portfolios to market, with a focus on improving processes and procedures to deliver the best experience possible for our customers.
In her free time, Fai is an avid foodie who loves to travel especially to exotic beaches. She also enjoys daily workouts in her home gym and evening walks after a long day..
